14 hole Greensomes Medal, men playing from the Yellow Winter tees, Ladies playing from the Red Winter tees.
Playing Handicap (strokes received) = 40% of the higher Winter Course Handicap plus 60% of the lower Winter Course Handicap. ClubV1 will automatically adjust the final handicap for the shorter course.
Each player tees off as normal and the best tee shot is then selected and alternate shot is played until the completion of the hole.

Playing Handicap (strokes received) = 25%/20%/15%/10% of the Winter Course Handicaps ranging from 25% of the lowest handicap to 10% of the highest handicap.
Each player in the team tees off as normal and the best of these shots is then chosen to be used for the next shot. Each member of the team hits their shot from that spot and this process continues until the hole is played out.
Each player should take at least 4 drives. Mark the score for the hole in the column of the player whose tee shot was used.

Men's Foursomes medal from the White tees, with the top 16 pairs qualifying for the summer running knockout stage.
Play as a pair and decide which player will drive from the odd numbered holes and who will drive from even. Shots are then taken alternately.
Shots allowed are 50% of your combined Course Handicaps.
Prizes will be awarded for the best scores on the day and the top 16 pairs will qualify for the BFGC Foursomes knockout. No handicap limit applies for prizes on the day, but as the knockout is an Honours Board event, there will be a maximum of 22 Course Handicap applied to each player in working out the top 16 qualifying pairs.
Simply record your correct goss score on each hole. The Competition Committee will make any required adjustments for the 22 shot limit.

18 Hole Non-Qualifying Bogey - ie matchplay against the course using the index of the hole to determine where shots are taken, i.e. assume the course is a scratch player. Record gross score and whether you win ('+'), halve ('0') or lose ("-") each hole then add up the total.
Prizes for the overall men's trophy winner (subject to a maximum Playing Handicap of 22) and the top 3 in each division excluding the overall winner (no handicap limit applies, but also subject to having played 3 qualifying comps in the last 12 months). Prizes will be presented just before the President's Dinner at around 6.45pm. Prize winners are requested to attend wherever possible, even if not attending the dinner.

Book for Saturday only and you will be entered for the Sunday without any need for separate booking or sign in. Entry fees of £6 covering the Scratch Cup and Carlisle Benson Trophy will be charged on sign in on day 1 and scores must be entered online for both days, with signed cards to be posted to the Comps post box.
Tee times on BRS are approximate for booking purposes only and, in keeping with tradition, a draw will be made for tee times and playing partners, with every effort being made to allocate a tee time within an hour of the time booked on BRS. The tee sheet will be locked at 23.59 on Wednesday 25th June to allow the draw to be published, so please book early. Play will be in 3 balls to reflect the special nature of this event.
The Scratch Cup is awarded to the best 2 round gross score, plus prizes for the top 3 gross scores overall.
The Carlisle Benson Trophy is awarded to the best 2 round nett score (based on a maximum 22 Playing Handicap as an Honours Board trophy), plus prizes for the top 4 players overall (no handicap limit applies, subject to having played 3 qualifying comps in the last 12 months). Playing Handicap (strokes received) = 95% of Course Handicap.
In addition, prizes will be awarded for the best nett and best gross score on each day for players not already in the main prizes.
